Chulaktau Mining and Processing Complex
The Chulaktau Mining and Processing Complex, a branch of the Kazphosphate Mining and Processing Complex, is a phosphate rock mining and processing plant.
At present, Chulaktau Mining and Processing Complex extracts phosphate rock from three deposits located in Talas district of Zhambyl region.
These are the Sholaktau, Aksai and Shiilibulak deposits, to which the ore mining and primary ore treatment complexes, as well as trucking and railway shops, repair and mechanical and repair and construction divisions are attached.
At the same time, mining is carried out at deposits of commonly occurring minerals - deposits of limestone and dolomite for the glass industry.
The Chulaktau branch of Kazphosphate Mining and Processing Company LLP, established on the basis of the Karatau phosphate ore basin, is the only major supplier of raw materials for the production of mineral fertilisers in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. The branch implemented an optimal scheme for crushing phosphorite ore from the Molodezhny mine at the crushing and screening section in a closed cycle, which reduces the volume of road haulage, excavation and bulldozer services; the boiler house at the Sholaktau industrial site was converted from liquid fuel to natural gas, a more economical and environmentally friendly fuel. The structure of Chulaktau Mining and Processing Complex includes many production units: Sholaktau underground mine, crushing and sorting shop, motor transport shop, power shop, repair and mechanical shop, repair and construction shop, technical control department, purchasing department, internal regime control shop. All these divisions are interconnected, working together and harmoniously.
